National Minority Health Association
“Health cannot be a question of income; it is a fundamental human right”

Helping to close the disparity gap in minority health and care.
The National Minority Health Association (NMHA), a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, was founded in 1988. Having achieved its initial mission of ensuring the establishment of Offices of Minority Health in all 50 states, its new mission is to close the disparity gap in minority health care.
Today the NMHA is deploying Operation Healthy You™ (OHY), a program to identify areas of healthcare inequality and work with healthcare providers and community resources to address identified needs. The OHY program is intended to lower the long-term overall cost of health care and improve outcomes for minority and underserved communities.
Talk is great … but can we please DO something right NOW!
We all appreciate all the talk around diversity, equity, and inclusion—it really does help move the conversation and pique people’s interest. But now it’s time to get up and ACT. The NMHA needs you to help us create health equity!
There’s a lot you can do; talking about it is great, doing something about it is better.
The NMHA offers many ways for you and your company or organization to get involved. We have a variety of community groups and initiatives we are working on and we welcome all the help we can get.
There are many other ways you can help, too. The key is to ACT and to ACT now!
